The Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking to hire an Administrative Assistant I for the Shapiro Center located in Kankakee, Illinois to assist in the monitoring of facility compliance with policies, procedures, directives, practices and standards of the Department of Human Services, Public Health and Shapiro Center. Confirms quality care in delivery of services to individuals residing at Shapiro Center.
Evaluates through observation and review of written material provided from the Interdisciplinary Team to verify compliance with relevant standards and policies.
Monitors through observation, interview and review of written reports, implementation and effectiveness of individual habilitation plans including active treatment and skill training programs comparing desired outcome to actual outcome.
Confirms quality care in delivery of services to individuals residing at Shapiro Center.
Reviews and monitors information for facility Plans of Correction which addresses deficiencies relating to individual habilitation and results from surveys conducted by Public Health and other surveying entities.
Conducts and monitors in-service training of staff to verify services are delivered in a manner consistent with applicable standards and policies.
Performs other duties as assigned or required that are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
OR
Completion of an agency approved professional management training program
One (1) year of professional experience conducting reviews to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, directives, practices, and standards for a private or public organization.
Two (2) years of professional experience meeting deadlines with strong attention to detail while multi- tasking multiple projects.
Two (2) years of professional experience communicating effectively with both internal and external stakeholders in oral and written form.
Two (2) years of professional experience working in a public or private organization maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with professionalism.
Two (2) years of professional experience managing projects for a public or private organization.
One (1) year of basic proficiency in Microsoft, Outlook, and Excel.
Requires the ability to work after business hours, weekends, and holidays.
Requires the ability to utilize office equipment, including personal computers.
Requires the ability to travel.
Work Hours: Mon-Fri, 1:00pm - 9:30pm
