This opportunity is located at Sherwood Pines RCF in Veneta, Oregon. Veneta is just a short 15-20 minute drive from west Eugene. Sherwood Pines is a 16-bed memory care facility. Preference will be given to the applicant who is also willing to work as a caregiver on the weekend or assist in various positions such as a shower aide or activities assistant. Responsibilities:
- Must be able to pass a background check and complete preservice dementia, preservice infection prevention and caregiver training.
- Treat all community members with respect, dignity, and compassion.
- Support and perform care as specified in the community member service plan.
- Assure community members are accounted for.
- Observe community members for changes in condition and report any significant changes.
- Respond to emergencies situations according to current policies and procedures.
- Completed incident reports per policy on assigned shift.
- Take and record vitals into community members’ charts.
- Promptly respond to calls.
- Tidy community members’ rooms and other common areas around the facility.
- Change linens and remove garbage.
- Complete laundry and ensure it is delivered back to the room in a timely manner.
- Transfer and escort community members following care plans and safe practices.
- Document care provided.
- Read and contribute to shifting reports and care notes to ensure continuity of care.
- Administer medications after medication class and approval from the Administrator.
- Report to the Administrator any signs of community member abuse or witnessed misappropriation.
- Have a neat and clean appearance and adhere to the dress code as policy indicates.
- Perform other duties as assigned or delegated by the nurse verbally or in writing.
