Position Description
The Clinical Lab Scientist Trainee performs all aspects of pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases of the laboratory as defined by CLIA. Independently performs laboratory testing on patients of all ages using professional knowledge of laboratory procedures in an accurate and timely manner. Follows all laboratory and hospital policies and procedures including, but not limited to, general processes, safety, fire, disaster plans, infection control, and quality.
Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree. 1 year or more of experience in a lab; or enrolled or has participated in an accredited MLS/CLS; or other equivalent program with the appropriate education requirements as defined by GA Rule 290-9-8 for clinical laboratory technologist. Extensive organizational skills. Basic computer knowledge.
Preferred Requirements
Experience using Cerner, any LIS, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Remisol, etc.
