The Opportunity:

We are seeking an entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and teachable attorney with minimal (2+ years) experience in commercial negotiations and contract review and drafting. This person will report to the General Counsel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with negotiating and drafting licensing agreements
• Manage the NDA process
• Run the contract management system
• Assist with global patent and trademark portfolio management and acquisition

Required Skills & Background:

• JD from ABA accredited institution and licensed to practice in at least one state (preferably CA)
• Experience in commercial negotiations and agreement review/drafting
• Able to serve as a strong business partner, collaborator, and project manager
• Excellent writing, communication, organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to strategically educate and support fellow employees
• Self-directed and proactive, comfortable executing on multiple projects independently and in collaboration with others
• Can-do attitude and a good sense of humor with a healthy dose of humility

Preferred Skills and Background:

• Experience in med-device and/or health-tech industries
• HIPAA/GDPR/Data privacy experience

The pay range listed for this posting may vary depending on experience.

Pay range: $110,000-120,000
