Role Summary

As a Copywriter, you bring a variety of core creative competencies to the table, and as a healthcare Copy Supervisor, you will bring the skill and thoughtfulness that helps create work that matters in patients' lives. All this represents the fundamentals of our business. Our Copy Supervisor will help oversee client projects, working from kick-off and inception to the final product, and ensures the quality of content and style meet the client’s marketing strategies and objectives. You’re a mentor and partner to the entire team. You love to solve strategic and creative issues with the client and the work. As a member of the Deerfield team, you’re a born collaborator. You play well with others and can work with other agency departments, including account management, project management, development, and production.

Key Accountabilities

• Bring knowledge of healthcare, market, and position to ensure sound strategic thinking and execution, timely and accurate implementation, good service, and a solid client-facing ability
• Possess the ability to take abstract concepts to create smart concepts and, in turn, copy representative of the client's goals and within brand guidelines
• Contribute innovative ideas appropriate to the client’s marketing strategy, proactively anticipate and solve creative problems, and make effective recommendations to creative and marketing leads
• Participate in concept work for brands and new business pitches
• Foster an environment of diversity and inclusion, and mentor direct reports: coach, challenge, and provide opportunities for growth
  

Required Qualifications and Experience

In this role, the Copy Supervisor must have healthcare experience, both consumer (patient) and HCP, a mastery of procedures, such as routing, pharma protocols, and other internal procedures and solutions practiced by our creative craft.

• Run, not walk, in the pharma world – 7+ years of experience in the pharma advertising business experience preferred
• Easily shares experience and knowledge of the industry
• Must be able to demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills
• Must be fluent in English
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
• Exhibits sound judgment and decisive problem-solving ability
• Ability to build client rapport and trust
• Established presentation skills, managerial, and leadership skills
• Deep understanding of client/product challenges in relation to pharma and healthcare market
• Complete understanding of market trends and creative briefs
