Pines currently has an immediate opening for a Human Resource Generalist in our Administrative Office located in Caribou. The Human Resource Generalist will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organizations human resource department. This individual must have the ability to exercise independent judgement and discretion regarding delegated responsibilities. This person must represent the company in a professional and positive manner.

Requirements:

Applicant & Interview Management (includes but not limited to):

  • Maintain and update employee files and databases.
  • Maintain applications that are received and forward qualified applicants to appropriate leader, manager, director, or administrator for review.
  • Schedules interviews accordingly with the department leader, manager, director, or administrator and may be asked to be part of the interview team.
  • Directs the chosen candidate information to the Human Resources Manager for the determination of salary or wages.
  • Onboarding (includes but not limited to)
  • Conducts reference checks and initiates the request for the background check on candidates who have been made an offer of employment.
  • Coordinates onboarding schedule for all new hires and ensures that all post-offer requirements are met prior to allowing employee to begin work.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining OLCP credentialing files.
  • Responsible for coordination for medical students as well other student rotations. Works closely with practice managers for approval of student rotations.
  • Working closely with the HR Manager coordinates new physician orientation and onboarding.
  • Coordinate apartment schedule for locums including communicating information to the locum companies.
  • Position is responsible for maintaining keys and the key register for the organization.
  • Assists the Human Resources Manager in ensuring that the HHS OIG’s List of Excluded Individuals and Entities, the General Services Administrations (GSA’s) System for Award Management, and the MaineCare Excluded Providers list have been routinely checked concerning all individuals affiliated with Pines.
  • Answers and transfers phone calls, screening when necessary.
  • Performs other general clerical and secretarial duties as requested, which may include recordkeeping, maintaining office supplies and coordinating equipment maintenance, and handling packages and correspondence.
  • May conduct research (within skills and expertise) to assist with projects or inquiries.

Availability Requirements:

  • Mostly day shifts Monday-Friday.
  • Irregular or extended work hours are moderate and occasional.
