JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for administering a wide range of human resources services, policies, procedures and programs. Provides excellent customer service and participates in company projects as time allows. Promotes and implements human resource values by planning and managing human resources programs and directing staff. This Human Resources Manager position will work with two companies to provide Employee Services and Compliance in multiple states.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Makes recommendations to the executive team for improvement of the organizations policies, procedures and practices on personnel matters and carries out those changes
  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and assures organization’s compliance
  • Maintains responsibility for organization’s compliance with federal and state legislation pertaining to all personnel and HR matters
  • Communicates changes in personnel policies and procedures and assures compliance
  • Promotes diversity as a criterion for candidate consideration and assist with carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters
  • Develops organization strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues; contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to organization strategic thinking and direction; establishing human resources objectives in line with organizational objectives
  • Processing terminating employees, including conduction of exit interviews/surveys
  • Interacts with all levels of employees and staff to establish an understanding of their roles and responsibilities, to determine their HR support needs, and to communicate HR’s services as needed
  • Analyze data and produce reports, documents and surveys. Ensure effective communication between HR and Payroll
  • Benefit management, administration, and education
  • Oversee and maintain relationship with broker, carriers, enrollment, and monthly invoices
  • Deal with grievances and violations invoking disciplinary action when required
  • Serve as the point of contact for employment relations and work with management to anticipate and resolve matters
  • Employee relations to foster strong company culture
  • Maintain employee records and databases, auditing as needed
  • Internship program coordination in conjunction with the Director of Training and Development for compliance
  • Manage performance review process
  • Manage own and direct reports credit card statement process each month
  • Recommends, evaluates, and participates in staff development/in house trainings
  • Team building events and office parties
  • Maintain the employee handbook
  • Oversee and assist with maintenance of and changes to HR database and systems, records and files
  • Assist Operations Assistant with New hire processing, including offer letters, required forms, and background screenings
  • Supports both Elevation Health and Advanced Exercise with all HR duties listed above

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Participates on committees and special projects and seeks additional responsibilities
  • Willing to travel as needed


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • Human Resources certification preferred
  • 5+ years experience
  • ADP Workforce Now experience, Payroll compliance
  • Multistate experience including, California, Colorado, New York City, and others
  • Experience with all levels of workforce- exempt and non-exempt
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, customer service and presentation skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft and Google Suites
  • Knowledge and experience with HRIS software, ADP Workforce Now preferred
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, strategic thinking
