Fieldpiece is hiring a Mechanical Engineer III to join our R&D team! The ideal candidate is curious – a tinkerer, experimenter, creator, and problem solver - with strong critical thinking skills and 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience with electromechanics / mechatronic devices. You’ll manage your own projects from idea to production by collaborating with teammates and suppliers that bring your product to life.

Given the highly collaborative, hands-on nature of this role, you’ll be on-site at our Orange, CA office 4-days a week. Our people, incredible snacks, and music room and gym make coming to the office fun and productive. You’ll also spend time with our customers and manufacturer sites at critical project points.
The California base annual salary range for this role is currently $110,000 - $135,000 plus bonus. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members. We can share more information about our bonus program and benefits during the hiring process.
