Position Summary:
This is a great opportunity to work in a respected practice as a Medical Laboratory Technologist. Successful candidate must maintain a professional image in the office and in all communications. Must be able to multi-task while maintaining good patient and staff relations.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Performs all clinical testing competently.
  • Organizes workload effectively and works quickly with high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Has ability to exercise independent judgment, problem solve, troubleshoot analyzers, make decisions and use discretion in reporting/distributing results.
  • Thorough knowledge of CLIA and OSHA regulations.
  • Complies with all quality assurance policies, CLIA and OSHA regulations and written protocols.
  • Maintains equipment, instruments and supplies as needed.
  • Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with patients, families and staff.
  • Answers questions from phlebotomists, physicians, nursing staff and patients as needed.
  • Works with the laboratory director to ensure adherence to all laboratory policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Clinical Lab Science or Medical Technology.
  • Certification by a national registry board (ASCP, NCA, BOR or equivalent).
  • Working knowledge of general clinical lab testing, quality assurance, proficiency testing and compliance guidelines.
  • Familiarity with lab instrumentation for chemistry, hematology and immunoassay.
  • Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Hours: Available to rotate work hours from 6 am to 9:30 pm with full time 8-hour shifts. No nights or holidays. Available to work occasional Saturdays.
