Job Introduction:

Maximus is currently hiring for an Operations Support Coordinator to support our OPWDD Program. The New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) is responsible for coordinating services for more than 128,000 New Yorkers with developmental disabilities, including intellectual disabilities, Cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, Autism spectrum disorders, and other neurological impairments. It provides services directly and through a network of 7 Care Coordination Organization, with about 80 percent of services provided by the private nonprofits and 20 percent provided by state-run services.

**This is a regular, full-time position that is hybrid-remote in New York City, NY

Education and Experience Requirements:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assists in coordinating last minute scheduling changes to ensure assessment appointments are completed and quickly communicates updates to appropriate parties
  • Provides administrative support to the Operations Support Management staff
  • Coordinators tend to the operation support line assisting MSC, IRA staff, individual or family members with general questions, education and scheduling/re-scheduling
  • Works on assignments that are routine in nature, with responsibilities easily learned on the job
  • Communicates routine information in a clear and accurate way with internal & external contacts


Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Minimum 6 months related experience required
  • May have additional training or education in area of specialization
  • Acquires job skills and learns applicable policies and procedures to complete routine tasks
  • Able to read, understand & perform assignments within prescribed guidelines
  • Previous experience in a call center environment preferred
