As a fertilizer operator you will be responsible for packaging fertilizer and maintaining a clean organized work area throughout your shift. A fertilizer operator will be working outdoors and needs to be safety conscious, reliable and able to adapt to the environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Be a team player

• Other duties as needed

Qualifications and Skills

• Capable of being on your feet for up to 8 hours or more
• Able to lift 50 lbs. throughout the shift
• Able to work outdoors
• Ability to become forklift certified
• Able to pass a respirator physical

Job Description

The Blender Operator is responsible for unloading, loading and blending fertilizer.

What your day may look like

• 
  Blends and loads fertilizer formulations.
• Maintains conveyor systems.
• Loads trucks of fertilizer.
• Maintains cleanliness in fertilizer storage and loadout areas.
• Other work-related duties as assigned by leader.
• Reliable and regular attendance is expected, attendance incentive per hour, under $19/hr.

Education and experience needed for this position

• 
  High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must pass a drug test and background check.

Your work environment and the physical aspects of the job

The work environment for this position is that of a typical warehouse and distribution environment where the noise level is usually moderate to loud and occasionally very loud. In this position, the employee regularly works near moving equipment/mechanical parts and exposed to farm smell, flies, dust/particulates. This position requires you to use your hands for many different tasks and to talk, hear, walk, stand and sit. You will be regularly required to lift or move up to 50-75 pounds.
