The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $90k to $97.5k per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, in addition to a full range of generous medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. POSITION OBJECTIVE:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in general ledger/ bank reconciliation, financial analysis, and a commitment to accuracy and attention to detail. As a key member of the team, the Senior GL Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability and growth of the company through accurate financial reporting and analysis.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare and post adjusting entries as necessary to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial statements.
- Reconciliation of Concentration Account, Disbursement account, Customer Refund Account, Payroll Account, Garnishment Account, and Paycard accounts.
- Investigate and resolve any reconciliation discrepancies, communicating with relevant departments and individuals to gather information and reach resolution.
- Ensure compliance with internal control policies and procedures, particularly in relation to general ledger reconciliation and cash management.
- Participate in the month-end close process, ensuring that all general ledger reconciliation activities are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide support for internal and external audits, including preparation of supporting documentation and assisting with any questions or requests.
- Continuously evaluate and improve reconciliation processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Review and analyze bank statements, transactions, and ledgers to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and decision-making.
- Evaluate current processes, identify areas of improvement, and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Responsible for identifying opportunities to enhance technology and innovation that will improve departmental effectiveness.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or Accounting or related field; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the retail industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and accounting software-Workday.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and manage change efficiently, proactively and in a positive manner.
