The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $90k to $97.5k per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, in addition to a full range of generous medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in general ledger/ bank reconciliation, financial analysis, and a commitment to accuracy and attention to detail. As a key member of the team, the Senior GL Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability and growth of the company through accurate financial reporting and analysis.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly general ledger reconciliation.
  • Prepare and post adjusting entries as necessary to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial statements.
  • Reconciliation of Concentration Account, Disbursement account, Customer Refund Account, Payroll Account, Garnishment Account, and Paycard accounts.
  • Investigate and resolve any reconciliation discrepancies, communicating with relevant departments and individuals to gather information and reach resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control policies and procedures, particularly in relation to general ledger reconciliation and cash management.
  • Participate in the month-end close process, ensuring that all general ledger reconciliation activities are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Provide support for internal and external audits, including preparation of supporting documentation and assisting with any questions or requests.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve reconciliation processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Review and analyze bank statements, transactions, and ledgers to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and decision-making.
  • Evaluate current processes, identify areas of improvement, and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Responsible for identifying opportunities to enhance technology and innovation that will improve departmental effectiveness.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or Accounting or related field; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the retail industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and accounting software-Workday.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and manage change efficiently, proactively and in a positive manner.
