The
City of Springfield, Missouri, seeks a creative, community-focused, innovative professional for its Senior City Planner with our Economic Vitality Department.
The
ideal candidate will demonstrate innovation and a strong ability to develop rapport with developers, business, and economic development stakeholders. This position will play a key role in grant administration and project management. This position will work closely with the Leadership of Economic Vitality, Planning and Development, and other staff members to facilitate growth for the City of Springfield. The City's newly created Economic Vitality department encourages reinvestment and quality economic growth, assists in the coordination of significant development projects that impact the community’s tax base, oversees the Cities incentives programs, retains and facilitates the expansion of existing businesses, promotes entrepreneurship, and attracts new businesses by fostering a positive business environment. The Economic Vitality department also works collaboratively with the City’s quality of place initiatives and regional economic development partners to leverage resources and enable the City to be attractive to quality business investments.
