Overview:Closet America is hiring for a dedicated and experienced HR Generalist to join their team! This individual will be responsible for making sure that employees follow all policies and procedures. They are responsible for creating new onboarding plans and educating newly hired employees about their employee benefits.
Responsibilities:

  • Administer compensation and benefit plans, including running payroll reconciling benefits invoices and preparing summary reports for finance review.
  • Manager talent acquisition including two recruiters and recruitment processes
  • Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives
  • Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Responsible for the oversight of the HRIS system ensuring the gathering information of hours worked for each employee, calculate the correct amount incorporating overtime, deductions, bonuses etc. with assistance of the HRIS
  • Receive approval from upper management for payments when needed
  • Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and superiors
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
  • Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies
  • Undertake tasks around performance management
  • Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates
  • Organize quarterly and annual employee performance reviews
  • Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form
  • Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits and organizing team building activities
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations
  • Works with departmental managers to understand internal roles and career path development.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
  • Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems (e.g. PeopleSoft) will be a plus
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Aptitude in problem-solving
  • Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
  • BSc/BA in Business administration or relevant field
  • Additional HR training will be a plus
  • Target income: $80-$85K per year

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $69,972.31 - $84,267.73 per year
