Software Safety Analyst

Cepeda Systems and Software Analysis, a rapidly growing small company in Huntsville, AL, is currently seeking a Software Safety Analyst to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supports software system requirements identification and development process by evaluating and assessing planning, design, development, production, and operations for DoD software systems architectures.
• Prepares and writes formal Systems Safety Hazard Analysis Reports to categorize and summarize all potential software-hardware interaction hazards.
  
• Performs software safety-critical and mission-critical systems analysis throughout the life cycle from initial requirements through design, implementation, testing, delivery, and support.
• Utilizes excellent written and oral communication skills to maintain successful daily interaction with customer and teammates.
• Operates proactively with ability to handle significant responsibility, and attention to detail.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• US Citizenship required
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering
• Active secret security clearance, or ability to obtain and maintain
• Experience developing embedded mission critical software in C, C++, or ADA
• Familiarity with software development/lifecycle IEEE 12207, MIL-STD-498
• Experience with Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and/or Failure Mode, Effects & Critically Analysis (FMECA)
• Working knowledge of MIL-HDBK-516, DO-178, MIL-STD-882, JSSSEH, AMCOM Regulation 385-17, SAE ARP 4761, or similar software safety standards
• Knowledge of the integration and verification of large systems
  
  

Preferred Knowledge and Experience:

• Knowledge of static and dynamic code analysis
• Experience with Model Based Software Development
• Familiarity with MATLAB and Simulink, Rhapsody, DOORS, SCADE, etc.
