The Product Test Engineer – Television(s), is responsible for developing and executing test plans and test cases. This individual is responsible for logging issues found during testing, and following up with internal and external partners for issue clarification and resolution. This individual is responsible for closed loop corrective actions for the issues found and fixed. This individual is responsible for the research and development of all engineering test plans including test procedures, scientific/engineering measurement equipment, test fixture resource development and procurement, and standard operating procedures. This individual is responsible for training product testers internally and externally on Best Buy’s test methodology as well as responsibility for the evaluation of product samples.

What You'll Do

• Developing and executing full test plans and test cases
• Documenting test results. Generating test reports. Logging issues in our tracking system.
• Collaborating with global cross-functional teams and third-party partners for issue reporting and debugging.
• Drive the issue resolution process with external technology partners which includes diagnosing and resolving technical issues and making recommendations where needed.
• Communicating testing status to cross functional and leadership teams.
• Ability to build positive working relationships within a diverse team.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/related engineering field

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science/related engineering field
• 2 years experience with popular software product development tools
• 2 years of experience in product testing
• 2 years of experience in issue tracking systems such as Jira
• 2 years of experience with hardware and software product development
• Experience with Android and/or Linux based software and hardware product development

This role is on-site which means you would be required to work at our Richfield, MN campus.
