Job Description

Summary: Under the supervision of the Sr. Director of Operations the Dental Treatment Execution Manager oversees the dental treatment coordinators to ensure all treatment plans are presented concisely and can relay the benefits of dental treatment to patients and or advocates for acceptance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate confidence in effectively presenting dental treatment plans to clients, patients and or patient advocates.
  • Manage and mentor treatment coordinators in speaking with care and concern to patients and or advocates.
  • Ensure treatment coordinators are knowledgeable and well versed with dental terminology and familiar with dental procedures.
  • Audit treatment plans: review with regional managers and clinical team to ensure providers are generating comprehensive treatment plans that enable patients to have and remain in good oral health. Work with regional managers if providers are not in compliance with comprehensive treatment planning.
  • Develop methods to review unpresented, outstanding, and unaccepted patient treatment plans. Track results by treatment coordinator and guide those that do not consistently meet 30 percent of acceptance.
  • Create a process to identify when treatment plans include specialty referrals; follow up on the specialty appointment(s) allowing remainder of treatment to be scheduled and preformed.
  • Guide treatment coordinators on appropriate method of communicating with providers should patients have questions or concerns about presented treatment.
  • Support treatment coordinators with questions or concerns about treatment plans from clients, patients, and patient advocates. Ability to effectively handle escalated situations.
  • Coordinate system for treatment coordinators and dental assistants to ensure that lab cases are returned prior to any "delivery" appointments.
  • Understanding of dental insurance plans (eligibility, annual maximums, level of coverage, exclusions, and limitations).
  • Knowledgeable in financial arrangement programs offered to patients and advocates, ensure treatment coordinators are informed.
  • Work closely with the regional managers, dental managers and records team when reviewing and auditing patient records.
  • Ability to generate reports and develop Key performance indicators.
  • Must be highly organized, goal oriented with strong customer service skills.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manages Treatment Coordinator team.

Education and or Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 8+ years dental assisting experience, dental office management or dental treatment coordinator experience required.
  • Ability to present features and benefits of programs and overcome objections.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology.
  • Experience with practice management software.

  • Computer Skills: An individual should have intermediate knowledge of dental practice management software and Microsoft office and internet software.
