Job Description

The full-time Coordinator, Office of Worship, provides scheduling and travel coordination support and general coordination and administrative support to the Office of Worship.

Minimum of three to five years’ administrative and coordination support experience, preferably working and collaborating with multiple offices and staff in a parish or diocesan environment. An associate degree is desired. Requirements include initiative, strong interpersonal skills, strong professional writing skills, customer service orientation, confidentiality, strong planning and organizational abilities, detail orientation, and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). A practicing Catholic with working knowledge of Church hierarchy Catholic Church doctrine, liturgical planning and music is required.

  • Coordinates the design and implementation of liturgical formation programs and events and designs any pamphlets and audio visuals sponsored or co-sponsored by the Office of Worship.
  • Manages the registration and logistics for programs and workshops offered by the Office of Worship.
  • Processes all payments, check requests, expense reports, and deposits, and files copies of all submitted items in accordance with Office of Finance policies and procedures.
  • Assists the Director in ensuring that all Diocesan safe environment policies are followed for all events sponsored by the Office of Worship, to include working directly with the Office of Safe Environment to ensure compliance, as needed.
  • Attends major Office of Worship events and assists the Director in ensuring that liturgies are planned and executed, as defined by the Director.
  • Coordinates transportation and lodging for guest speakers, performers, facilitators, etc. as required.
  • Coordinates the scheduling of Master of Ceremonies for Episcopal liturgies around the diocese and assists the Director in facilitating ongoing formation.
  • Manages the Office of Worship website and ensures it is updated and contains viable links and accurate information.
  • Updates and monitors progress on delegated tasks with the Director to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Works collaboratively coordinating with all other Diocesan offices.
  • Designs and develops worship aids for all Episcopal and other Diocesan liturgies.
  • Manages the Pastoral Center Chapel to include scheduling of Masses, supplies, and chapel reservation, and serving as sacristan.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
