Who are you?

A Copywriter at Decent is responsible for writing clear, compelling copy for a variety of studio and venture projects. Copywriters work with designers, product managers, and key stakeholders to develop our verbal identity, maintain brand guidelines, and create copy for internal and external brand communications.

You, the Copywriter, have a passion for telling a brand’s story through writing. You understand how to craft a narrative in a unique voice that aligns with a brand’s strategic positioning. You are able to develop and execute concepts based on creative briefs, present your ideas, and articulate your framework to stakeholders and creative collaborators.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the crypto ecosystem and be able to effectively communicate complex concepts to a broad audience.

Responsibilities

• Write clear and concise copy for our website, marketing materials, web pages, product interfaces, and other communication channels
• Research and stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to ensure that our messaging is relevant and engaging
• Develop a deep understanding of our products and services to effectively communicate their value to our audience
• Work with subject matter experts to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into compelling copy
• Create and manage the production of the monthly community newsletter
• Maintain the Content Style Guide
• Maintain the Decent Handbook,(e.g., organize content, review member-submitted change requests, and ensure clear instructions for all business processes are included)
• Maintain the Decent verbal identityUpdate the narrative, voice, and tone as needed

Ensure any voice/tone updates are reflected in all “introductory” copy (i.e., any place biographical copy exists, such as the Opportunities Board, the Handbook, and the website)
Provide copy for any marketing materials for events

• Creative support for new protocolsName products

Create copy concepts for design pitches
Develop a brand story that connects product features with the design direction
Assist in the development of brand strategy elements(e.g., mission statement, vision statement, messaging pillars for Decent and its venture projects)
Write/edit UI copy

• Provide individual writers with periodic feedback to improve overall writing style and brand voice cohesion
• Fulfill miscellaneous copy needs under tight production deadlines

Requirements

• Be decent
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven professional work experience as a Copywriter or similar role, preferably in B2B
• An outstanding portfolio demonstrating copywriting skills and strategic creative thinking
• Communicate complex visions and strategies with clear, concise, and unique writing
• Exceptional time-management skills
• You love working as part of a small team and wearing the many hats that come with it
• You have a passion for learning and the self-awareness of how you learn best
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Preferred to have a minimum 2-4 years in a tech company
• Deep understanding of the crypto ecosystem and Web3 technologies

Pay: $100,000.00 per year
