Job Summary: Seeking an experienced technical-oriented professional with aviation industry knowledge and strong manual writing skills. Ideal candidates will have experience drafting FAA submission of aircraft documents.


Job Responsibilities:

  • With minimal to no supervision, use FAA and AerSale source material to develop technical content that provides the information necessary for aircraft operators to comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Create, revise, and maintain company manuals.
  • Create PDFs, auto-generate form fields, clean up the form fields, and publish the PDFs to be usable in Acrobat Reader
  • Incorporate redlines from manual owners into existing documents
  • Interact with manual owners, subject matter experts, and front line personnel to ensure that documents are accurate and comprehensible.
  • Maintain the revision status of manuals.
  • Work with the FAA during the approval process.

Job Requirements


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, aerospace engineering or electrical engineering from an accredited college or university is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical, computer, and written skills. Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, and Power Point) proficiency (expert level)
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment including daily interactions with upper management and government officials.
  • Ability to work under deadlines.
  • Expert level skills with Adobe.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in technical writing in the aviation industry.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be a resident or US Citizen.
  • Expert in AutoCAD or BricsCad
  • Expert in Microsoft Word.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to travel 10% of the time domestically and internationally.
  • Adapt to sudden schedule changes.
  • Work well under pressure.
  • Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires prolonged periods of sitting at desk.
  • Must be able to use hands and arms for repetitive movements, such as movement of wrists, hands, fingers while typing.
  • May occasionally be required to lift and carry up to 20lbs.
